Just Released: Argo-Saronic's Music Video Collab
Back in July, I was approached by an awesome local band who call themselves Probably Okay, with a proposition for a music video. Everything happened super quick, we grabbed our kit and our smoke machine and headed down to True Gent's Barbers, to film on the Sunday Afternoon - wrapping just in time for the world cup semi-finals.
On the shoot
The BTS was great, lots of energy coming up with great ideas on the go. We wanted to keep it loose, not much planning - just see how it flows, follow the vibe of the performance. I blocked the musicians and we set up their positions in the shop, ensuring interesting framing options.
I think that this approach was just what the video needed - back in the office on Monday, I told myself I wouldn't touch the footage, but I couldn't stop myself. So I had a play around in the suite. It was the right call, still going off the energy of the previous day, within a few hours most the edit fell into place.
The next couple of weeks we fine-tuned some elements with The band's guitarist and co-director of the video, Diego Nunez. Adjusted some timings and sync, then added final touches, and graphics made by the band's vocalist Mateus.
We had a little screening gathering with friends, and everyone's love for the video put a huge smile on our faces. We hope others enjoy the video as much as we had making and sharing it. ✌️
